East York Strategy
Graffiti Day
The East York Strategy Graffiti Day was a success as we
had at least 14 people who came out to paint over the graffiti.
Those who participated included:
5 from Danforth Community Church (DCC)
1 from Councilor Ootes office
6 from the Toronto-Danforth Liberal association
2 community residents
We worked at the area immediately to the East of DCC to Cathness (Rev. Jai
Reid drove along Danforth from Broadview to Woodbine, and the store next to
DCC seemed to have the worst visible graffiti of any he found)
We painted over approximately 1700 square feet of graffiti.
We removed paint from 25 square feet of non-painted surfaces (metal, tile,
etc.)
The businesses in the area which the East York Strategy contacted for
permission in this area were very appreciative.
